This is what happened to me, I turned on my console and I saw the 3 red lights of doom, I said to myself dam its dead but I didn't give up I searched and searched for solutions online and found the most ridiculous one and It actually worked!!
So here are the steps:
1.Do not panic
2.Find 2 towels
3.Rap them around your console (it has to get really hot!!!)
4.Turn on the console for 15 or 20 min and leave it on!!(with the towells raped around the console!!)
6.After 20 mins turn off the console and remove the towells!!
7.Leave the console off for 30 mins and do not touch it (it has to cool)!!
8.After 30 mins of cooling turn it on!!
9.It should work!! (worked for me )
10.Warning: If this is not done right you are putting the console at risk and may cause a fire!!
I do not take any responsibility
If you dont understand feel free to post back !!

hi
i can confirm this does work
what happens it the motherboard has cold solder joints
and once it is wrapped up and left on
obviously things start to get hot inside real hot hehe
thus allowing the cold spots to settle back on the board.
another way but harder way is to take xbox apart completely
remove x plates on mobo
and use a heat gun (paint stripping gun)
on the mobo keep it moving in a circular motion
leave to cool and repaste the chips with thermo paste
and this too should work.
i have been flashing and fixing xboxs since they have come out
and you would be suprised at what works or not hehe
but you do this at your own risk
this forum and i will not be held responsible for any mishaps hehe
