Introduce yourself!

Post by bad_brain »

You can introduce yourself to the others here, I think it´s good for establishing a community if we all know a little about the other. Hey, maybe the nice chick from next door is here too.....

K, I start:
I´m a 36 year old guy (hacking....fun for all ages..hehe...) from germany and my job is webmastering in general, creating websites and stuff like that.
The reason why I´m on the "dark side of the net" (you can call me Darth bad_brain now... ) is first because I´m curious and want to learn as much as I can, and second because I hate certain groups of subhumans which think they can use the anonymity of the net to do their dirty business, like pedophiles. I think it´s a must for all skilled people with a sense of decency to do their part to wipe this junk off the net.

Happy hacking...

Me...

Post by Necrix »

Sup, I'm Nwolf(NecrixWolf..blah-blah with the names..meant to be read not said :P). I'm 14yrs. old(probably as most of you here).

There's not much to say...I'm trying to learn Java currently, learning as much as I can(not really..sleeping is something I do sometimes)..reading alot. I'm what you may call a geek with a social life  . My typing is terrible, as you may see with my typos when I post. Always looking for something to challenge what I know..and learning what I don't know. Nothing much more to say..I'm pretty much a normal...teenager.

Later.

P.s. You may call me Kleenix if you want. :D ..inside joke..sorta :P

Well, you seem like a pretty helpful guy Brain, so I'm staying, and there is nothing you could do about it.

Here is some information about me:
Age: 19
Knowledge: HTML (wow, amazing, eh?), PHP, Java, Javascript, and I'm currently learning C++.
Other things I like: Video Games (duh), reading, and art.

Yup, that's mostly it.

Anyways, I guess I'm interested in hacking due to my curiosity. I really just want to know more about this hunk of junk on the floor next to me (my computer) and the vast world that it is connected to (the internet, yup). As cliche as it might sound, I just want to expand my knowledge.

Also, I will be starting college in roughly 2 weeks, so I really can't wait to learn more there.

Also, in response to your intro post:
So say we skilled people should wipe filth off the net?
I'm gonna have to say that I disagree with you on that one. I believe the net is a free zone where anything should be allowed. As you would fight to prevent "filth" from being published on the net, I will do my part to prevent people from stopping said "filth" from appearing on the internet.
Just the way I think, heh.

Well, hope to see you all around.

*edit*
I thought coming here would rid me of people who don't know how to type or spell. However, to my dismay, I regress. I guess I'll just do my best to help people, heh.

I hope not a lot of people come here asking how to hack for personal gain...kinda annoying in my mind -.-

damn, I´m gonna close the site...

Well, I agree with you on the fact that the net shouldn´t be censored, but on the other hand I think that people with skills and knowledge should do their part to "keep it clean", not from porn or warez, but from stuff like childporn.
Abusing and raping children for profit is the worst crime I can imagine, such people don´t even deserve a place on this planet, and they surely don´t deserve a platform for their perverted deeds on the net, I think you´ll agree with me....
That´s what I´ve meant with "wipe filth off the net", and that´s the reason why I´m working for ACPO http://www.antichildporn.org/ besides my own site here. It´s up to people like us to show responsibility, the net should be free, but freedom is a thing which don´t come for free, you need to fight for it, and the principle of freedom is that the welfare of many is more important than the welfare of a single one...

Um,still around? Damn...I really need to close the site...
Welcome...

P.S. people which want to "learn how to hack" for personal gain like sniffing in their gf´s hotmail account or stuff like that get thrown into the HALL OF LAME ... 8)

Welcome, CircuitB0mB!
Sounds really nice, especially phreaking and VB... :D

Um, have the tuts for your project to be in english? I have written some for my studies about Java and XML, and I´m working on one about TCP/IP at the moment, but they´re in german and I didn´t had the time to translate them yet... :?

bad_brain, you can leave them in German if you'd like, I'd like this project to be worldly so German tuts are alright :) although if you happen to know of a good translator program etc... that i could use to provide them in English as well, that would be swell, looking forward to reading someof your work

HI

Post by CyberPulse »

Hi, I'm CyberPulse. I'm 23 years old and live in the US. I've been studying computers since I was 16 years old. I would say that I am well versed in a few :) languages (VB, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML, COBOL and currently learning PHP and Perl), so if you all need help with a programming question I should be able to help you. Currently fiddling with Linux, getting tired of just messing with Windows. Got my CCNA, Net+, and A+ certs, which brings me to the reason why I'm taking up a little bit of hacking. I'm going for my Security+ cert and want to do some reverse engineering on what I learn from hacking. So if you have any pointers or have any questions about programming don't hesitate to send a message.

Hey CyberPulse.... :)
Nice, sounds real professional! I´m into Java and the whole DHTML-thing too, next thing is Perl, so expect many "ERROR 500"-questions from my side... Welcome!

k CircuitB0mB, it´ll take some time until the TCP/IP-tut is finished, but you can take a look at my first 2 ones already, they´re in the german section of the boards, about Java and XML....the problem is to find a good dictionary to translate the technical terms (and I´m too lazy to learn all the same stuff in english again), but I´ll look for one in the next time...
