my bike is more a XC race one, so no hardcore downhill for me, not that there would be an opportunity here anyway.....but I am planning to build me a 2nd bike in the winter, which will be a fully, just haven't decided what frame yet.

I love the way this guy can hop up onto objects that are exceptionally elevated. Man I got some practicing to do. Nice video BB

The top speed I ever made on a downhill was 54 mph. That day I made that speed - all I had on was a pair of shorts, cleats, and a helmet. It brings a new meaning to "tombstones' when you see rocks and trees blur by at speed. With my safety gear on - elbow pads, knee/shin guards - I have never hit that top speed again.

My worst crash was at 35 mph, torn shoulder muscle, broken handlebar, black eye, and a dented Troy Lee helmet.

Downhill, trials, and XC bikes are all set up differently - different tires, different air pressures, shox no shox (lock out), and riding position.
