well, it's pretty much the only spot around here, on sunny weekends it's crowded there. the really interesting spots are more than 1 hour away. concrete is nice for speed, but on forest paths it's way more fun....will take some clips there too as soon as I make it there again. :)

wow a nice view of Germany!
I estimate you were cranking at a steady 30/35mph?
I loved the sound of the tires singing on the pavement, brings back memories.

More videos!

yep, should be the average speed....top speed 40-45 mph...a little hard to say because I have no tachometer on the bike, but I had one on my old bike and I know I got significantly faster since then (better equipment, better driving technique, and better physical performance).

and more videos to come! :D

Nice video! Love the environment, looks clean! Personally, with my biking skills I doubt I'd made it pass 0:32 :D

I liked BB's pace, too fast for people on the sidewalk lol.
I think I would have kept up - I was trying to listen for the shifting - to see what he shifts like. I usually bump gears 2-3 at a time.

AANd did I hear that brake squeal? #-o
those suck, i sometimes buff the rims with sandpaper to rub out shiny spots

I use the smaller 11-32 cassette ("normal" is 11-34) so I can pick up speed faster, it also has a better "flow" then...at least for me.

the squealing noise was from the rear brake, but it wasn't during braking (they are really silent), it was caused by the tires...at a specific speed the profile causes vibrations that meets the frequency when the back rotor begins to swing...then it touches the break pads. but that's only because the breaks are still brand new, will be gone as soon as the pads have adjusted to the rotors. :)

:-k

I do swap out to slicks for the pavement, and knobbies for the dirt.
The slicks are quiet - so quiet no one will hear you coming, and they corner like a F-1 race car.

I still got those brand new Panaracer FireXCpros and Specialized Team Master knobs to send your way - they are 26x2.1 (48/52).
