Apache Improved download Speed

How do i improve the download speed of my apache server?

It only goes like 12 kbits/s i want at least 100kb/s....

um, I need a little more info:
- what OS and what apache version
- is it your homeserver or a rented one (vserver/rootserver)
- any hardware infos? (network cards, network cables)
