Anyway, I have been messing around for the best two hours with my damn style sheet trying to get the footer of my page to the bottom of the page in Internet Explorer 6.0. It works fine in FF with:
position:relative; bottom:0px;
But there is a bug in IE that does not render this properly and leaves a blank space at the bottom if there is not enough content on the page. It can be seen here: http://mattd4.homelinux.com/AHF/template/index.php [Links to my website, it's safe.]
Anyway, after MUCH searching I have come up with little aside from a javascript fix which messed up some other parts of the site if employed on my site, so it's not really an option.
So, alas I come to the great suck-o. Any fixes?
EDIT: I forgot to post my code.
Code: Select all
#footermainPan{width:auto; height:85px; position:relative; bottom:0px; background:url(images/footerbg.png) 0 0 repeat-x #fff; color:#010101; clear:both; left:0px; right: 0px; padding:72px 0 0 0;}
