For example your free host account there will have restrictions:

- All free accounts has upload file size limit of 500KB! <<< 500kb?????

f. The following file types are restricted from uploading on AWARDSPACE.COM free web hosting - .avi .mov .mp2 .mp3 .mpeg .ram .asf .quota .vbs .shs .scr .exe .cmd .torrent .wmv .wma .rm .zip .tar.gz.

- contain Proxy, Pirated or Hacking / Phreaking Software (Warez) - Any software that is copyrighted and not freely available for distribution without cost. ROMs, ROM Emulators and Mpeg Layer 3 files (MP3) all fall under this jurisdiction; Torent sites or links to Torent sites;

Just back up your files often and be ready to move elsewhere. Its a free site , so all you got to lose is time.

I highly doubt any of us here have the time or are willing to look over all those websites for you. If you want to run a web server, set up an old (but good) computer, install apache, php, and mysql. Then make your own web page. That's the best deal that you can get.

Thanks Anyways!

Thank You gogeta70 I didn't expect anyone to go through all of those sites. :lol: Hey That Would Just Be Unreasonable To Expect You Guys To Do That. 8O I Was Just Hoping That Someone Has Used One Of The Sites On The List And Could Tell Me More About Them. Anyways I've Never Used Apache, PHP, Or mysql. I've Made Sites That Could Be Viewed On A LAN With A WUCIWYG Based HTML Editor. :twisted: :evil:

I've used Apache HTTP server before.
I can honestly say I never had an ounce of difficulty with setting it up or running the thing.
Granted, I *did* have FrankB's help (cheating, I know). But even then, it was by ICQ, so that's gotta count, eh?

well, the problem with most of the free hosting sites is that they don´t provide databases, and without a database you can´t set up a forum or a user management (registration,etc.).
best try it first on your home network, set up a linux box (it provides all you need, Apache, MySQL and PHP support) or to use a Windows box download XAMPP:
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html
and then: experiment! you can use a free CMS (content managment system) like phpnuke, Mambo, etc. (there are dozends of them), it´s very comfy and you don´t need too much background knowledge (but of course don´t forget to keep learning and improve your skills).
once you´re used to it and are able to setup a nice site (this will take a while, believe me :wink: ) you can show it to me and we can talk about giving you a subdomain and a little free space on one of my servers.

SWEET
