hey,
well basically im fairly new to the whole hacking thing, so i would like some help (if its not too much trouble), anyway i have read lots and lots about different hacking and programs and other such things, and i have decided that i want to learn a computer language, now i dont know which one to learn there are so many, i have started to learn c++ but i want to know what i should learn afterwards?
also, because i dont no enough scripting i am at the minute a script kiddie which eventually i will change but until then, does anyone know any good port scanners and/or tuts for them.
also does anyone have any basic worm tutorials?
i was also reading the forums and it seems many people want to the hack their school/work networks, and no one seems to have a definitive answer, so i was wondering, my school has a page on their website where you can access your work from home, would it be possible to hack the site and either inject a trojan, or could you recreate the page to look the same but it sends all usernames and passwords to you? (i no theres a prog that lets you recreate sites with injected trojans, but i cant remember the name =$)
thanks for reading,
admiralzues

hullo admiral!
wanting to learn a language and choosing a programming language to start with can be a frustrating task at first. C++ is a powerful language and its not the only one, starting with it can be difficult, and the rewards in the long run are pretty much the same no matter what language you learn.
Most of the staff here will tell you to start learning a very easy language - HTML, its pretty much the simplest language to learn, but uses very little if none at all, logic to function, it merely tells something to look 'this way' so I like to tell people to learn xHTML and PHP, xHTML because its a newer standard of HTML on the net and PHP because coding in it helps you understand the use of calling/creating variables and using logic controllers like IF and ELSE statements, which almost all programming languages use some form of logic to perform what you want it to do, PHP is very basic and simple to use.
Those are web languages though
you can start application programming in visual basic, its an RAD (rapid application development) language and pretty simple to learn. Also Python and Ruby are two pretty easily learned languages.
concerning hacking into school/work networks or websites there are many approaches you can start at...the easiest place would be learning about XSS (Cross site scripting) and SQL Injections, XSS techniques are used by hackers to gain access to site admin and webmastering functions by injecting code into a webpage (HTTP-GET / HTTP-POST etc..)
SQL injection is of the same type of practice but the vulnerability lies within the database layer of a website - this is usually done by injecting bogus database querys and the application incorrectly filters for string literal escape characters.
hacking into a network is a bit more complicated and takes time and research on your target, you have to find out which ports are open/available and what services are running on them as well as finding a vulnerability within the service and exploiting it. Or you can brute force your way in by repeatedly bashing the login until you find a matching username and password
its only after gaining access to the target you will be able to deploy a backdoor such as a trojan or rootkit for later use, as well you will most likely have to have certain priviledges on the machine as well to do that.
