What am I doing wrong

M trying to use nmap in windows with a GUI and then the following error pops up

The site in here that M trying to scan is the one m working on atm.

Why is this and what is this and how to get rid of this? If anyone pls...!

you are using colons instead of periods in the IP?

Try again, cut and paste IP as you are putting into the NMAP GUI.

I don't use the gui, I still go to CMD and run it from there.

I tried both the things when I used the IP for scan here is what I got in intense scan...

P.S. in CMD I should have tried this one switching to that but still will be needind the answer as to why can't I simple scan??

Try passing nmap the --unprivileged command and see what happens

All the answers are in the nmap warning, just like the last issue with colons (it probably was the use of a colon by using http:// in the IP string)

now you fixed that and got another error message:

1. you selected the wrong comm device, select another device from the drop down list. The dropdown list includes modems, network interfaces, USB broadband cards - and only certain devices will work, especially under Windows - you select the network interface - and not the others.

Try again.
