I purchased this old article on a website that I wanted but they would only allow you to access it twice. They did say you could print it 'but I actually don't have a printer which is why I went through the trouble'
So I clicked on the access link to take a look anyway, the access was in flash but since I have flash disabled in Chrome by default and using the extension RightToCopy I was able to access the view source menu with out much fuss.
In the view source I noticed a link to source.php? followed by a uuid so I entered that in to the domain and success I started downloading a .swf file. From there I simply downloaded an open source flash decompiler, saved the image frames from the decompiler (it was a scanned article) and converted them in to a pdf.

Yeah, security by obscurity is far more common than people think these days : /.
Or maybe people simply don't think about it, and that's the problem? : P
