I was gona write some little programs and i was wondering how do you make them autorun themselves on someone's computer. They are not viruses, they would just gather some information, like maybe the windows edition or smth like that. Now what exactly is considered a virus by the antivirus program? I suppose anything that messes with the register and stuff like that?
Is this actually possible, or does the person actually have to run the program in some manner. Can a program execute itself without any kind of initiation from the user?
I am not sure where to search for this info so it would be nice if someone could point me in the relatively right direction.
