Firewalled Product

I dont know if what I am about to tell you is exactly 100% true, but this method seems to work for me. Also, since it invovles the use of warez then I give Bad_Brain full permission to delete this post if so, because no one likes to get in trouble with the law.
Ok. Let's start by this, in order for a program to see if a serial is correct, it must do what? Connect to the internet. So, what if we stopped it from connecting to the net before it checks the serial and gives you a big fat "30 DAY TRAIL" screen again. Well, this is simple, you download a firewall, I recommend Zone Alarm:

Code: Select all

http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en
Now you must configure the program to ask for anytime to connect to the net, this may be the biggest pain of the ass you ever encountered, but you can configure some programs such as AOL or GAIM to connect to the net without permission. Now, when the warez program trys to connect to the net, refuse the offer. This may cause you to have a outdated system, but it might keep your free product forever. This method worked outstandingly well with me for Photoshop. If you use a AV software, then try to manually download the updates and plugins. But, I may have to note, this method may not work all the time, software such as Fruity Loops use registerys to determine fake or real serials. I hope you found this some help.

warez or legal: I block every "call home" internet access anyway because you never know what kind of data is transmitted. software manufacturers don't trust their customers, so why should I trust them?

lol. Makes sense to me. But if you would block all transmission then you would be blocking all programs that acess the internet including web browsers and IM clients, unless you configured it to do so. Of course there are malicous software and malware that come with keygens, one infected my computer and backed up its process as aolsoftware.exe which stole information from me, but Zone Alarm blocked the process before the transfer session. But blocking the connection towards products that have been warez and/or hacked can prevent any acess to online updaters in which check the software information for any warezing. And if the keygen or warez you downloaded is spyware, Zone Alarm or something as of it, would stop and block the transfer session of the malware. I like that last statement of yours because its so true, its almost as if it were the motivation behind the whole pirating sychme.
