Two or more people wishing to communicate via the internet can do this to avoid detection.
1. set up email accounts for everyone in the group
2. Everyone knows everyone's password
3. log on to the person's email account, write a email message - but save it as a draft
4. The person logs on to his email account and checks his draft folder - and finds his message
Nothing is transmitted, the message is held at the email host. Draft emails might not be saved by the email host to conserve disk space.

This trick is a bit outdated, but it could help somebody, i guess.
If you are working on a computer running windows 98 or 95, there's an easy way to hide your porn folder ^_^
What you do is take the folder you want to "hide", right click and select 'rename'. You can either keep it with the same name or remove the name of the folder alltogether, but add a null byte to the file name by olding ALT and pressing 255 (ALT+255) on the numberpad. Then press enter and try going into the folder. Windows will give you an error message and won't let you in. To fix it, just rename it and take out the null byte.

you can rename a file to anything you want. What will happen is the application used to open files of that type will say "file maybe corrupted".
You just have to remember what the correct file type would be, or hope the investigator can't decompile the file and find the correct application to open it with.

Covert Ops Tricks Handcuff keys
Ok, this brings us to Covert Ops Tricks #459
Always carry a handcuff key. They are universal. This particular key is popular in the USA as well as other parts of the world. Know how to use handcuffs - they have TWO locking mechanisms!

This is called the Double-lock mechanism.
"Handcuffs with double locks have a lock-spring which when engaged stops the cuff from ratcheting tighter to prevent the wearer from tightening them. Slot lock are double-locked by inserting the small peg on the top of the key into the double lock slot. In this position, the small peg can contact the end of the lock spring. The key is then slid towards the key hole. This causes the lock spring to move into a position that locks the bolt, thus preventing the cuff from being further tightened."
This means you have to turn the key in both directions to unlock - once to the right to unlock the double lock, and once to the left to actually unlock the cuff. This requires a durable key.

It is not illegal to posess the key in the USA. But on a UK website I saw this:
Rogue Security guards, bad rent-a-cops, and dirty real cops use the handcuffs this key goes to. Its just a good idea to have one handy..
