Any one know what this means?

Code: Select all

2420-dsl remote-mgmt
I think that it is a remote dsl management port. Can some one validate this?

2420 is the port I am sure of

hmmm....depends where you got it from.
port 2420 is a registered port, but not a well-known one....this means there is a chance that something else is using the port.
to really know you would have to "connect" (actually there is no real connection made because the remote-mgmt service is an UDP one), the question is the protocol and how to use it.. :-k

if you found the port on a router it looks promising (but also check port 80 and 8080 where router admin ifaces usually run on).
