Free practice exams for the CISSP, CISA, SSCP, GSEC

Post by DNR »

While I am not an advocate of Certs or College Degrees (there are too many paper-tigers) This is a great site to test your knowledge
They have various settings - novice to pro, and you can choose the area of study. They explain the wrong answers very helpfully.

thanks for this and yes certs are not important because if someone is after certs only he will put limits to his knowledge but for someone like me who wants to work in security I think certs are necessary or else none will hire me :p

This is a pretty cool resource.

In the US at least, a degree will only get you so far; certifications are very important to job placement because they imply a little more then basic foundational knowledge, or maybe foundational knowledge in specific areas.

For information security the CISSP and the CISA (boring as hell) are the most sought after, but there is a lot to be said about any certification that the employer knows, or expects you to know.

Thanks for the share!
