hmm...I have Norton installed and looked around, but will be hard to really edit the definitions manually. first because it's hard to find where the definitions are stored, it's in a .dll (at least that's what I think), and I'm sure there is a hash for this file(s) to prevent manipulation by malware for example.

but well, you can download the definitions and update manually this way:

AVAST Home Edition FTW.

I .. how to put this .. HATE Norton/Symentic products. they slow your omputer to a hault and I have never experienced more issues than with symentic products ..

I think you should channge your AV IMO

Mystikblaze, norton is one of the worst antiviruses to use. It's not my opinion, it's FACT. I highly suggest you switch to something else immediately.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It works on my machine...

Honestly, pay the money and go for nod32, www.eset.com has all the info.

after tons of tests and crashes, I have found that Bit defender 10, ZA Security suite (w/ AV), AVAST, AVG, Ewido AS (now AVG anti spy, when tested it was Ewido), a2 antimaleware, and xsoftspy (now Perito Logic or something like that).

All work well TOGETHER. I went a bit over the top but Im parinoid. So there ya go, hope this helperd a little.

I dunno if you guys have used blink from eeye.com but I personally think its an excellent firewall. It has many features from application firewall protection , system protection, to identity theft. it also has vulnerability checks to see if your system needs any patches
