Bring back to life my old pc

Post by ulysse »

Ok, so here's what i wanted to do, my main idea was to restore a dead pc of mine that id use as a server.

after i finally finished downloading windows xp corp, i burnt it on a cd...
my plan was to boot with Xp in my dead pc that i've killed after a game of random hijackthis by killing a core process from windows...
however now, i cant even boot from a cd.
more details:

so, yeah i kinda need little help here

Take out the CMOS battery. Leave it out for a minute or two, then put it back in. Turn on the computer, boot into BIOS, and re-configure all the settings. Everything will have been put back to default, because you removed the battery.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It works on my machine...
