Removing a video driver in xp consoel

I just put in a new graphics card and well I can not remove the old driver. So the side effect is that I get memory error etc. I tried going into safe mode to uninstall the driver, but some one before me kind of messed that up. No safe mode now. I can run my windows recovery console CD but I am not sure what to change, what to type. Please help me out…

what driver is it? ATI or NVIDIA?

you're lucky, I use ATI too, here's the driver removal tool I always use before installing a new driver:

it removes all ATI-related files...
