Programs assigned to folders...?

I tend to download a lot of minor programs, to test when i search for something specifik, and when i do this i always create a new folder on the desktop and install it in there so that i wont forget that i installed it....

My problem is that everytime i create and rename a "New Folder" now...i get the message "If you rename the folder "New Folder" some programs might stop working, are you sure you want to rename?"

Where is this located? i want to be able to manually delete and edit it. I asume that it's a value found in the registry, and i DON'T want a program to do it for me.
