idk what happened....
idk what happened....
My friend got a virus and, he doesn't know what happened. The taskbar is gone, windows explorer is gone, and ctrl+alt+del menu is gone.
He has Avast and windows XP pro sp2, and he did scan in safe mode only to reveal nothing.
He also said that his media player is like only half functional, the bars that go up and down aren't there and theres no animation for the volume when he scroll with the mouse wheel to change it- it just appears at new spot.
So, anything to help it with out reformatting? Or is there no other choice but to reformat?
Thanks you guys!!!!
Love always-

Well can he enter the taskmanager from safe mode?
because they are most likely not "gone", just blocked =)
he just has to find the weird little file that does it ^^
tip is to check both windows and system32 folders, sort them by date->newest
Since the windows original files are always much much older, they can be from 2004 even if you installed 2007 =)
use your imagination. For example, a lot of viruses these days use random picked names, and usualy a lot of dll files in system32....it's not hard to find them =)

If you read the rules, it stipulates that you are not allowed to open old posts. I consider anything that has been inactive for a month to be old, personally. However, what you have done is open a post which was created a year ago. THAT is what I am saying is useless.shamir wrote:are you saying I'am a 1 year old I'm 15 years old turning 16 age, I don't understand your words anyway I did not know my post was useless if it was I'am sorry.Big-E wrote:
