For the past week, I have been getting an error when I try to log back on to my user profile. The error is
"cannot load locally stored profile: insufficient security rights or corrupt
local profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log
off."
When I log off, and try to log back on, same message once again. However, when I restart the computer or shut down, and then try to log back into my user profile, everything works fine. I would think that if it was corrupt, I would never be able to log back into it normally but I am.
Im using windows xp Pro, on our AD with admin priviledges and have all updates installed. I think I can just try to change the NTUSER.dat file but im not exactly sure.
Any advice on this?
Cannot Load Local Profile
hmm, not a problem that i have dealt with in the passed, but have you installed anything new before it started?
Maybe you should check for anything malicious?
Try to remember any changes that you have done, and revert them if possible, also do a virus scan just in case ;/
