Does the PC's fix IP by auto?

just change them in the TCP/IP settings

Also, are they connected directly to each other or two a switch/router first?

Are you using a router? If so you might be seeing the ip address of the router instead of the computers.

If you go to the command prompt and type ipconfig it will show the ip address of each computer instead of the routers ip address

How did you check your ip? (i mean you're talking about internal or external ip?) External ip for all the computers would be same?

The modem you've shown has only one ethernet port? how did you connect to other computer?? USB? It doesnt look like a switch or a hub

Did you select, obtain ip address automatically in network connections, tcp/ip properties?

Your LAN has only a single external IP address, shared by all the computers in your LAN.

The only way to provide all of your computers with a different IP address is to have all of them connected to the internet via separate means... unless you want to get tricky.

The reason is simple. You are using a cable modem that will only hand out 1 ip address. If you want to get separate ip addresses youll need some type of layer3 device or protocol to do this, i.e. a router or make 1 of the 2 Pc's a server that assigns an ip address to the other.

Router connected after the modem would be the simplest.
making the computer a server is harder but you may learn more.
