Depends on the game you want to run. Most games that I play only support DX9 so I have to use a patch to downgrade my issue of Vista from DX10.

I found that it wasn't worth it.

Personally, I don't believe Vista is worth DX10. I mean if your hardware can support Vista it's up to you, but I just don't see the benefit when the whole operating system is bloated.

When you use vista for the first time, you understand. It's like looking at a pile of shit for the first time... you just KNOW you don't want to be anywhere near it...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It works on my machine...

hm, well, I don't have much time for gaming and afaik not really much games utilize DX10 yet, but if a game does it can really be a big plus....I have played Crysis on DX9 and seen how it looks on DX10, the difference was really impressing, especially the water effects for example.

but on the other side Vista is not really a candidate for a system to work with every day, simply because it's too buggy and unreliable...so it's just an option for hardcore gamers that run it on their gaming boxes while using Linux or XP on the main system....
