Ok so we are all seeing it. Windows XP is loosing support more and more, and it most likely wont take many years before they remove the updates from windows update =/
So, just in case....
How would I download the updates? like if I want to save them all to a disc, and apply them from there ?

All I can think of right now is the Ryan MSFN files, I know there are at least to other two or three pages where you can download a pack with a good amount of updates included but I can't remember them, I'll keep looking though.
The Ryan MSFN is at: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/
Edit: Find out one more that might interests you:
http://xable.net/index.php (Update hotfix packs)

updates are overrated anyway imo, the MS ones usually open more flaws than they fix...
when you disable all unneeded services and use a decent firewall/AV it is no problem at all, my last patch is always SP1 (ok, the last install I had to use SP2 to be able to play Crysis ) and I haven't had a virus or something like that since years, I even have much less problems and a better performance than the people with fully patched systems I know.

True indeed.... but not only updates can add more flaws, they can also add more incompatibility issues or even kill the system, it won't be the first time that I have use windows update and suddenly when I reboot the system doesn't start anymorebad_brain wrote:updates are overrated anyway imo, the MS ones usually open more flaws than they fix...

What I do is mostly stick with the major ones (aka. service packs) and forget about the rest, but that's just me ^^
