good advice
Oh I better sell off my MS shares, .. oh I see who said that..
Actually I surfed around a bit and saw that google chrome was out, but the word is sit and wait before trying - right now IE or firefox is considered safer and tried and true. We should try to take the browser apart to find a 0day..

I just like the fact there is competitor to IE now that has enough money and is known enough to become a danger...
personally I don't like neither MS nor Google because of their "we spy on you whenever we can" attitude, so both browsers are no candidate for me. and as floody said, FF became a bloated piece of crap, anyone remember how fast FF was in the 1.x versions? I even tried FF3 (which is sooo fast as they say), but the new bookmarking system in it is simply totally annoying...so I removed FF again after a few minutes.
for users that don't need any bling-bling the best browser is still K-Meleon: safe, customizable and fast as hell...

I am here at work and have been researching pretty much all day, so I decided to look into chrome a bit afterwards and have come up with the following:
1. Some of their features are fucking sweet and will revolutionize the internet.
a. The finally implimented a 'sandboxing system' whereas each tabulated window is it`s own process - so when one fucks up and crashes your whole browser does not. You can also manage processes through google chromes own 'task manager'.
b. Security is improved through the aforementioned sandbox, no session hijacking can occur due to the sandbox.
c. It's simple and not bloated, it's one of their 'goals' to keep it this way.
I know that I for one like simple..maybe it will steer other browsers in that direction again
2. I feel that though it will revolutionize the internet, I don't think it will gain that much momentum - if anything, it will increase firefox/alternative's to IE's user base by opening up the 'discussion about browsers' yet AGAIN. Each and every time this occurs, IE seems to take a hit. Maybe they are trying to over shadow the release of IE8?
3. Who knows? Maybe it will be a huge hit, though I don't see it - people don't like big change..especially in the corporate world. They like their simple big buttons and I know for a fact when IE7 came out and they moved all the buttons, people freaked the fuck out and didn't like it. We shall see how the general populus adapts.
I would personally like to see some download statistics.

the ultimate M$ flaw
Well, some are saying it has the ultimate M$ flaw - the product being pushed by Google's marketing dept. rather than by the R&D dept.
