also the command line on rundll32.exe under the image tab says

Code: Select all

C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqPjkhg.dll",d

the ",d" at the end seems strange if you ask me.

Hm, that's a real pain in the ass but probably a good idea anyway since it's been a long time since i reformatted. And with christmas around the corner i'll probably be able to upgrade. (I personally don't celebrate christmas but that doesn't stop everyone else from giving me free shit :D)

well, if the last setup was already a long time ago anyway it is the best option imo....new setups fix a lot of problems... when having a decent amount of stuff installed and deinstalled Windows tends to become unstable and behaves really weird sometimes, so the reason doesn't even have to be malware.
I did a new setup a few weeks ago, and it even fixed the nasty graphic errors I had in several games...I already thought about getting a new g-card because I found threads from people with the same g-card (nvidia 7900gs) that had exactly the same probs, everybody said "card is broken, this card is known to be crap", and they all bought new ones....

ur virus seems polymorphic by the name

just locate it and try adding this to ur autoexec.bat

del c:\windows\system32\ssqPjkhg.dll

then start up in safemode and try deleting it

if the autoexec doesnt work and afemode dont work, boot of a cd of portable windows,(get it at dl4all.com) and then delete it manually

hope that helps

you can't tell how a virus works by its name.

ssqPjkhg.dll is not a known dll, and could be a process named by its author. The fact that you cannot identify the virus/malware means you cannot ensure a perfect clean-up. This is one virus battle you consider a loss - and accept that you have to reformat your HDD and reinstall the OS and drivers.

Repeat the mantra "Keep the OS separate from your important data"
Keep the OS and drivers on a disk for quick formats and installs, keep your saved movies, music, pictures, and writings on another disk.

Jesus Saves, so should you.
