How can i close applications based on its window title on xp home edition, using command prompt?

Hmm I don't know on custom title window...

Or if you want to close them by their process name.. you can get your list with this command and then run through the list to rm it.

wmic process get description,executablepath

hm, I also doubt it can be done by window title...because the title is simply a textstring somewhere in the source and the process "don't know about it", it is not like a PID by which a process can be identified, simply imagine you run the same app twice and have 2 windows with the same title.

I don't know of a way that it can be done with a command prompt, but there's a nifty program that can help you out called AutoIt.

Umm ye i think its not possible with command prompt on xp home.

On xp pro there is a way to do this with tskill command.

Im not confident with VB myself but ill try to do what i can.
