alright, yesterday I've done a fresh XP setup, the first time on my new system using a SATA RAID, the old XP installation was formerly on an IDE drive and I mirrored the HDD to the SATA RAID (which was working pretty good, I just experienced Explorer crashes regularly).
ok, so I grabbed a floppy drive, connected it and it didn't worked, used a different cable, then a different floppy drive...nothing
when looking for alternatives for adding the RAID driver via floppy I stumbled over nlite, I think cats used it already too.
first I was a little sceptic, but now, that my install is completely done, I have to say that app rocks! I haven't only added the driver, I also added SP2, removed lots of annoying default stuff like the MSN messenger and some shortcuts, and added my serial so I don't have to during the installation all the time....and it all worked fine!
so if you are interested in creating your own custom XP CD get it here:
