to clear this up a little for you:
he got the OS not bundled with the system, the system was built from scratch, and as student he has access to both (32bit and 64bit) versions through his school.
and what I meant as "theory" about the 192 GB is that there are no ATX boards that can handle such an amount yet (at least not that I know)...
