Re: Alternative for OpenGL
You can take a look at this list. If you're looking for a 'real' low-lvl graphics API, there's only OpenGL and Direct3D, but if you're looking for high-level APIs built on top of these there are alternatives.
I doubt mesa will support any actual 3d-acceleration on windows though.Big-E wrote:Edit: Stand corrected - http://mesa3d.org/

Its not for my Mac, I am currently in the process of reviving a decade old MMORPG, in which the users that use Win 7 with Nvidia grafic cards, have trouble playing the game. My tech guys are saying that its because of OpenGL. so now they are looking for replacements

It's a complete game and you want to take out the graphics back end and replace it with an other one to solve "trouble" for Windows 7 users with nVidia graphics cards?
OpenGL is a fine library. Do the Windows 7 users have the latest drivers for their graphics cards? Define the trouble that they experience. It's probably driver trouble which means you'd be solving the wrong problem by replacing OpenGL.
Can you say what game it is so I can test it on Windows 7 with an nVidia graphics card?
