well i had this prob for a while now: every time i boot into windows it says disk boot failure i have to reset the cmos nearly every time to get it to boot any ideas ?
the os is vista ultimate

Replace the mainboard battery. It might be dead and this may explain why you have to reset it every time.
Is it a laptop? If it is then I fell more comfortable thinking it is the mainboard battery that needs to be replaced.
If it is a desktop then I am not as sure that replacing it will help.
