Post by eppik »

So my dad and i have found some really old computers that he owned, and are stting them up...

So i decided to show some people how stuffed worked In the Ancient days
(some stuff is pre 1990!!)
I'll be posting images and possibly videos.

In the treasure vault we have:

-2x Pentium II (unknow and different Mhz)
-A Pentium MMX (OMFG!! so old 50 Mhz, my calculator is faster!!)
-A Pentium III 1.2Ghz

-A VERY VERY OLD, HUGGGEE!! Video card (bigger than Gforce 8800GTX) with memory expansion slots and infinite "SLI" or CROSSFIRE" kind of link.

-A HARDCORE Power Suply of...100Watts (not even ATX, its AT i think, and it is HUGE!!)

-A 14 Inch screen :P

-A VERY old keyboard with HUGE plug :D

-Lots of install Floopies for MS-DOS, Windows 3x, Windows 95, 98, etc..

-Porn!! (in floopies LOOL, but not Bill Gates in a desk...lol)

-GAMES!!! (Formula 1 2D, star wars, etc..)

-WTF?? a Floopy with 25 MB of storage (for wich my dad doesnt own the floopy drive lol)

-Some really old Huge Floopies (cant remember the Inches)

-An old edition of Playboy FASHION edition from '83

and many more.

I will also provide some tuts in how to connect some old devices most people dont know about, and comment pictures.

Cheers!!

5 1/4 most likely, I remember those from my good old Commodore C64 days... there's a nice hardware hack for those floppies: on one side is a square notch, grab a tiny scissor and cut a notch of the same size on the other side....and voila: you can use both sides of the floppy... :D
and yeah, post some pictures.....I have some nice old hardware too here (for example a sweet S3 2MB graphics card  ), once I get a grip on a digicam I'll post some pics too...
