I need help naming a cable

well i googled a lot and no luck.

what would a cable that goes from a sound device (lets say the headphone jack on my PSP) to a TV (the thing you plug in for your DVD....ugh the Red, Yellow and White cables....you know.)

i never really knew how its called but i really want to buy one

that is if its possible to do such a thing. if not tell me how i can hook up my computer's headphone jack to my TV so i can listen to music.

They're called composite cables. (High def cables are component cables)
Get the adapter and a coupling. And your on your way.

mm u might have luck with Coax cables to, like what toast said but a more common name for it.

hmm I think those are RCA cables, the red, yellow, and white jacks for audio L/R and video. If it has another black plug with little pins, its an S-cable.

well, everbody is right.... :wink:
a composite cable has 3 RCA (chinch) plugs, red, white and yellow...red/white for audio and yellow for video. and all RCA cables are coax ones, but the term "coax cable" is commonly used for a digital connection.

if you only want to transfer the audio signals a simple stereo RCA cable is enough, RCA/stereo jack adapters (for the PSP output) are easy to find in almost every consumer electronics store, also RCA/SCART ones if you need one for the TV input for example.

thanks a lot guys!
ill check the local stores for a RCA cable like that.

ive done it so far with the DVD player but i dont feel like burning disks.
