i just upgraded my mobo and cpu from GA-P35-DS3L/e6750 to Asrock P55-Pro/i7-870.
everything went down without a hitch untill the time came to use my mic which worked fine on my previous installation.
it's the logitech USB standalone mic with no drivers available for it as it is a plug and play device.
the button lights up as normal but i cant find it anywhere on the software side of things.
i'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

Re: Pc does not recognise USB mic
perhaps i spoke to soon. i went to the properties of "USB Audio Device" found in he sound, video and game controllers tab of the device manager and told it to update drivers.
after telling me they were already up to date the microphone magically apeared under "manage audio devices" again.
