rubbing alcohol??
i am trying to clean my xbox 360's cpu and gpu but i am supposed to use rubbing alcohol, but i dont have it so anything else i can use??

yeup! nothing beats canned air to get rid of dust...
but if you need to really clean (residues of stickers for example) such sensitive devices I highly recommend to use ethyl alcohol because it evaporates without any residues and it dries very fast....if you use something different you might risk a damage because of humidity when starting the box again.

Ideally 97% Isopropyl Alcohol is your best bet for cleaining off thermal paste, as the alcohol dries really fast and avoids water from shorting out the CPU or GPU when you boot up the computer, but I've used 70% Isopropyl alcohol to clean up the thermal paste and haven't had a problem.
Just be careful if you use 70% isopropyl.
