I am confused. Why was it illegal? There are RATs in the Download section. I'm not trying to be an anarchist or anything, I'm just a little, well, confused.

[Edit] Or are they rootkits. What's the difference, by the way?

the RATs in the download section are available for you to download safely for your use, you have to run them yourself.

posting multiple links that have no explanation as to what it is and its uses, as well as posting them to where they automatically are ran on your computer without your authorization is not allowed and is typically malicious in nature.

rootkits run under your operating system and are difficult to find with normal virus scanning utilities
