After my first post I decided to test my internet speed at other sites just to be sure. I tried 5 different sites. I reconfigured and rebooted each test only finding that either very little change or worse speeds were taking place.

As a side note I can see that I need to contact my ISP and ask why my speeds are lower than they promised.

Any other results the same as mine?

hm, no effect for me....but well, I have a DSL 2000 connection and my transfer rates are pretty the maximum for this connection type already anyway, so no room left for optimizing:

before:

Code: Select all

down: 1.919 kbit/s
up: 179 kbit/s
after:

Code: Select all

down: 1.919 kbit/s
up: 180 kbit/s
