How to email spoof

Post by Decipher »

I thought i make a lil tut on how to spoof emails for any newbies out there..
When i mean email spoof its like sending an anonymous email with any address you wan't to create.. Lets start the show
this works best in linux because it sends the email a 100 percent of the time, if you use dos, it will work but not garenteed that the email will send out, ur most likely to get a time out error,
open console and type telnet
then type "o"
then it will say <to> and your gonna type the address of a smtp port that you wanna use. For example <to> mx1.hotmail.com 25
this will connect you to the smtp port and now your gonna wanna use some commands to get you going
first type
helo
MAIL FROM: "fake address"
RCPT TO: "Victom email address"
Data .. then type ur msg
if you want a subject (Subject:-type subject here) no brackets
to end ur msg type "." on a line on its own
and to quit console you can simply type quit..
well this how you can make an anonymous email, hope it works out for you all, :)

btw mx1.hotmail.com is not a valid smtp server anymore i dont think.. they must of changed servers, to find an smtp server.. just find a domain name and check port 25, to find a domain name for any website, host, etc.. you can use neotrace and find the server names..

nice post Decipher...

but don´t feel too safe, the sender´s name is spoofed, but the sender´s real IP adress can most likely still be found in the email header because the mx-server just forwards the mail in most cases, so a testmail to yourself is a must...

ya i hear ya man.. maybe you can bounce connections or something? ip spoof or something to hide ip... but mainly its good for composing an email of any name? even fooling a friend pretending to be a friend of an other account name? possibilities are open.. but bad right ur ip probably still gonna show up inless u bounce ur connections .. or spoof ur ip

to spoof your e-mail without sending your IP try using an anonymous proxy that doesnt use X ForwardIP crap or is it the other way around

okay once again i have a question.....it says it was sent and queued for delivery, but it has been 2 days and still not sent....could it be the ESMTP server blocking the email...or does the queue not dump yet? any ideas.

hm, can have different reasons:

- the recipient´s mailbox is full
- the mail is too large (I had this case 2 weeks ago when my sister wanted to send a 16mb-mail from my server to a yahoo-account, this damn mail hung a week in the queue until it was finally rejected by the yahoo maildemon, and I was already wondering who to hell is using 16mb of email-space  )
- the mail server is a crappy one which used by a lot of people and therefore just can send a very limited ammount of mails in a decent time.
- the mail was rejected, the server just waits for the notice from the recipient´s maildemon (can take a while, as mentioned in the yahoo example above).

tried to mail yourself already?

Yeah same for me, I don't think we can actually do this with mx1.hotmail.com
