Merchant: in the browser-window goto extras>internetoptions>security and edit the security level, you can set how handle ActiveX too there for example...

um,you mean proxy chaining?
can´t be done with Firefox directly, you would need an external application.
I can´t recommend one, there´s such an application in the downloads but someone mentioned it isn´t that good because the proxy-list it uses are not very up to date. google a bit for proxy chaining or use JAP, it´s better than to look for working proxies all the time: http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/index_en.html

Let's say I want to visit a site (specifically maddox.xmission.com) and I put in a proxy and clicked the option to use it for all protocols, but I keep getting this error:

Anything I can do to get around it?

I keep getting a http://10.13.3.7/pub/block.mp?session=0 ... urnal.com/

in my browser when I try to access the site livejournal.com . It seems my proxy won't work for certain sites. What else can I do to get through?

note: I have tried many other proxies with the same result in my browser.
