Wi-Fi

Post by Gogeta70 »

Hey guys, i've been lookin for articles about wi-fi, but haven't really found good ones that are a good read... do you guys know any websites or have any articles that i could read up on? Sorry if this is in the wrong area, couldn't find a "Networking" forum.

wifi web portals

thats the reason I joined Suck-o (WTF-isthatname?) to find other people to network and share nfo about wifi/wardriving. I searched even today for links to decent wifi sites, most are small, most are companies that sell the shit.

The websites are good for the 'clean' technical nfo, but no hacking stuph.

Got to start some where, I will try to write some papers. The area of wifi hacking is narrow as it is only a small part of the inter-net. Wifi is just a small jump onto the networks, so many network hacks still apply.

Really, DNR, i think that if you know all the "Clean" info about it, it only takes some common sense and a bit of foolin' around to figure out the "Dirty" part of it. ;)

http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/ar ... 1-tracking down rogue access points

http://www.astalavista.com/media/direct ... obicom.pdf - intercepting mobile communications

Aside from the lionks above the book - Hacking Exposed: Network Security Secrets and Solutions (5th Edition) has a pretty decent section on access gaining

a file "file2air" injects seemingly random traffic into the air or wireless network airspace, the tool leverages Air-jack drivers to arbitrarily write packets to a wireless network (kinda like a wireless Netcat)

//home.jwu.edu/jwright/code/file2air-0.1.tar.bz2 (though i may not trust this link because this is the one that book provides, may be a newer version somewhere)

anyways if you have any Q's about whats covered in this book, id be happy to help

if n00b C is n00b A, is n00b B still the average n00b ?
