Backtrack 2.0 and monitor/managed mode

I just got it. Thats a one slick piece of software they got

You guys use it?

I had a question. When i run kismet it puts my card into monitor mode which means i cant browse internet. But when i am done i type
iwconfig eth1 mode managed

It goes back and the little icon says that i am connected, but the internet still doesnt work. I have intel 2200Gb wireless card. I remember reading long time ago that you have to restart the computer to get the card working again. Anyone knows if i am right or if there is another solution to that?

i may be wrong but i am a noob. so yea.

try typing this into console: iwconfig <name of the card. ie wlan0 eht0 etc.> mode managed

see what happens. lol

will kismet run if you put it into monitor mode yourself?

aa... not sure.
if i run kimset it puts it automatically into monitor mode. But it doesnt go back when i exit kimset.

I dont care anymore, i just restart, takes like a minute with linux
