can i change the appearence of my site's domain name?

Post by nunomer »

I have a site for example www.mysite.com When i go to mysite.com then i see in my browser's address bar 'www.mysite.com/index.php of course...

Can i change that? I mean when i go to my site, in the address bar i want to write http://192.69.1 or another name... but not the real.

Is it possible?

Thank you :)

Besides what cats said, you could also use some domain forwarding (site.tk or site.co.cc for instance), it all depends if you're confortable with that solution

Using the IP address is possible if the site is hosting in a dedicated server (not in a shared server)

In the end, it all depends for the reasons of why you want to use other domain
