Greetings,
I had recently put a password in the BIOS of my PC for security reasons. Now because of my god damn "bad memory" I have forgoteen the pass. My PC runs on Windows XP SP3 Genuine. Is there anyone I can recover my PC or I can crack into the BIOS and change/disable the password.
Thanks In advance!

Hmmm well there was in fact a CMOS on my ancient dell. And it was decent old (2004). So yeah i guess latest dells have EEPROMfloodhound2 wrote:Some dells have an EEPROM so there is no battery reset. Makes for a tougher BiOS reset. I think you actually have to call Dell for a reset code or something.

Again I would not say that all Dells, even new have this feature. It was just something that came up about a year ago when someone wanted to get into the BIOS. B_B was the one that noticed this.
My new computers all have a battery and the ability to reset the BIOS. Then again I never buy Dells either.
