Yes I know VMware is slow, but you said "Why run Windows on VMware on a computer that runs Windows? " which i would think means you are allready running windows and possibly Linux under VMware. What kind of set up are you working with? I have mounted many multi gig files with no problem. It may explain why you cant mount the file if you are running windows under a vmware linux system, with windows as your main syscats wrote:Why run Windows on VMware on a computer that runs Windows?
No but, VMware doesn't work really good with games, and especially not the newer ones ^^
Also, going around the issue is unacceptable =/

nono, I don't run VMware at all, you suggested that I should run Windows on VMware on my lappy, but my lappy already runs Windows, thus me making that statement that it's no use doing that.
I have checked the ISO file on another computer btw, works fine there ... but still can't mount it here, and I honestly have NO clue how to solve it atm (no time to look for an answer either)

ok sorry i must have gotten confused because you posted this in the linux/unix forum, but just said you run windows on the pccats wrote:nono, I don't run VMware at all, you suggested that I should run Windows on VMware on my lappy, but my lappy already runs Windows, thus me making that statement that it's no use doing that.

so i said vmware running windows because i assumed your pc was running linux since you posted it in this forum. not to mention you posted linux commands that you tried to mount it with.
I beleive this is what you are talking about that i said "run windows on VMware just for that game and you should be golden" there maybe a communication gap or something.. i meant running windows on your linux system useing a vmware.

Nice, worth a try I guess ^^Lundis wrote:You could try cdemu: http://cdemu.sourceforge.net/
It supports a lot of image formats I think.

It is showing just data because on linux, it's not detected as proper iso file. which is why it didn't mount.

No, it's just happens to be named like thatrhysh wrote:ooh cats, downloaded fallout 3 huh
why not just run the game with files contained in it
or just burn it to a cd
Yeah Linux. Yeah I figured that, but according to Windows, it is a valid ISO file, I'll try to convert it in Linux, I'll write here again when I've tested.was it linux?
