GIF images and ED animators

Hello every one
I was working few days ago on a presentation for a course presentation, and wanted to include some GIF animations...I didn't find what i want on the internet.. so i went on to search on Google how to make animated GIF's... so far so good...
My first problem was that i didnt find and application/tut that would help enough to do what i want, plus many of the tools and software are not freeware...
So i would kindly ask if any one can provide me with any link to software that might help me
Also if you know any thing about a easy to learn 3D software, i would like to experiment a little bit on 3D graphics

while i havent tried this myself, i found a handy gif which explains how to make gifs!

I know of a decent free 3d application that i started out with. It's called AC3D, check it out.

well, i dunno if the links still work haven't tried since the last time I downloaded this application...
I can tell you this application is simple and works great, plus its free, but it doesn't have a lot of options.
