here at www.suck-o.com we dont condone the use of information for malicious purposes, such as and not limited to "Crashing Servers" and the like.

It's Illegal to do such things.

Im sorry but your not going to find anyone here to help you with a DDoS script to "attack" IRC Servers and the like.

exactly....and "hacking" imo is about freedom of information for all, and taking down IRC servers is the complete opposite.

IMO a hacker is someone who thinks outside the box and finds out how things work. If you are trying to do this just to become a "hacker," you are sadly mistaken. Doing a DoS on a server doesn't make you a hacker, just a vandal. So before you go down the wrong road, please rethink your actions.

It's an attack to a server/machine and then the machine can get really slow, crash, etc...

nope...
DoS means Denial of Service
DDoS means Distributed Denial of Service

Both types are used to bring a server down, normal DoS-attacks are using a vulnerability in the target´s system, they are runned from only one box, a DDoS attack is runned by multiple computers against the target. DDoS attacks bring the system down by sending masses of requests to the target server until the bandwidth is exceeded, so the system is either collapsing completely or at least the traffic is so high that the server is defacto unreachable to user requests. for DDoS attacks a whole network of systems is needed to run the attack, these are the so-called botnets, botnets are usually zombie machines which are infected by malware and so they can be coordinated from a single box. I think Stacheldraht is a program to coordinate such attacks. but stay away from that, it´s the best way into prison...
