Suddenly when my computer was running ideally, I got this error.
What is the meaning of this? It had an icon of System Mechanic Pro
I searched on the Internet, but couldn't find an understandable answer.
I got DAX error. What is that?

hm, seems to be an error in context with "system mechanic", do you have it installed? it seems it includes an AV, and when you have another AV installed (like AVG) they interfere with each other because one AV blocks the other one from accessing specific memory addresses...

I have System Mechanic Pro 9 installed, but without AV.bad_brain wrote:hm, seems to be an error in context with "system mechanic", do you have it installed? it seems it includes an AV, and when you have another AV installed (like AVG) they interfere with each other because one AV blocks the other one from accessing specific memory addresses...
Also, I don't use any AV, just COMODO firewall.

Re: I got DAX error. What is that?
hm, but it's definitely System mechanic which is interfering with another app...hard to say which one...
Re: I got DAX error. What is that?
configuration and install issue.
Reading on the DAX issue, it has to do with an application installation that is being blocked improperly. Say, rather than removing a program from the startup, you blocked one of its files with a third party software - it can prevent the program from working, but it still starts up.
It seems the fix is to reinstall the offending program, and then properly configure it rather than block it with a security program.
It is not the System Mechanic, but another application that is being blocked.
Using Restore Point has fixed this issue, depends on how old your last restore is.
