Apple Peel

I have a iPod gen 3 something and I now want to make it into iPhone, now the thing is that yes it is possible if we add an Apple Peel to it but then on what I really m confused at is that if the Latest Apple Peel II will work on my iPod or it's for iPod gen 4?? here is the link for apple peel

I will also like to know that if I upgrade my iOS to 4.3.2 as the site's FAQ say will it still work or I don't need to upgrade it but simply use it?

The answer to my problem is "There are two versions of the Peel 520. One for the 4th generation iPod Touch, and one for generations 1-3. We offer both for sale on our website. Be aware that the version for 1st-3rd generation iPods is the older model – the 2nd generation Peel 520 for those iPods will be released in Q2 2011. Stay tuned!"
