how to open ripped files ????

ok i have 3 files all rar files in the files there is a file called midnight the type it's file there is no extension defined to the file and from where i downloaded the file it says it'sa ripped file but i dont know how to make it work i tried to rename to iso and open it with deamon tools but nothing shows up ... help will be apreciated thx in advance . !!!

Stupid question but... have you enable to show the extension of a file?

in ms dos, go to the folder that the file is in, then type "ren filename filename.ext" without quotes, of course.

the prob is i dont know wat is the extension

it says type of file : FILE


and the icon of the file apears like an unkown icon u know .. im gona try the msdos thing ... if u want i pm u the link the files .

msdos thing didnt work if u wana have an idea of what im talking about ill pm u th elink just tell me if u want to the file is small so it wont be long to download it's like 80 mb

Try opening them in notepad, they may just be texts. At least one of them may be...

hmm lol it's a huge text lol .... not liek a text but u know chracters i cant understand them ... :cry: i tried renaming them to iso and opening it with deamon tools it didnt work i tried renaming them as .rar didnt work neither when i open it says the archive is damagde hmm i dunno what else i cud try .

You can ask where you downloaded it from.

You can try something like TrID, which tries to determine the file type by comparing it to known types...

i give up i tried ur link buh afte rliek 5 min it gaved me page not found lol i relly dont know how the hell are the files been made cause i already did open ripped files before buh those im just not able to .

1st turn "hide known file extensions" off!!!

2nd select all three files, right click and choose extract... the big files get broken into lots of little .rar files to ease stop and starts of downloads.
