Have fun, you can goto an admin panel to view logs, disable logging, configure the firewall settings, and even set a new password to lock out the owner.

1. figure out what brand the AP is.
If they changed the SSID to hide the brand, you'll scan the known IP ranges for the AP web admin page. This _only works_ if you logged into its unwep'ed network. Scanning for the private IP range will result in no webpage found or the wrong network if you are _not_ connected to that unsecure wifi AP. Understand? If it is not that brand, you'll get unable to find webpage message. If they changed the SSID, they may have changed the login/pass, so expect some work or security logging enabled.

2. select the IP to go to that router's page
3. try default login/password when prompted.
4. if failed, look at owner's choice of SSID, try repeating SSID for login password. Otherwise if it is a commercial AP, try phone number or fax number, store number, or building address. If it is residental, try home address, person's name, or guess based on their choice of SSID.

I have been using this for a while, and most are default login/pass

Example of a AP logs and settings:
Logs

Date: 2006-09-09 11:15:28
[Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:06] - NETGEAR activated
[Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:08] - Wan port get IP address:192.168.15.100
[Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:18] - Send out NTP Request to 12.7.210.176
[Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:18] - Receive NTP Reply from 12.7.210.176, update system clock to Sat, 2000-09-02 18:56:35
[Sat, 2006-09-02 20:56:40] - Send out NTP Request to 12.7.210.176
[Sat, 2006-09-02 20:56:40] - Receive NTP Reply from 12.7.210.176, update system clock to Sat, 2006-09-02 20:56:39

Include in Log

Known DoS attacks and Port Scans
Attempted access to blocked sites
All Websites and news groups visited
All Incoming TCP/UDP/ICMP traffic
All Outgoing TCP/UDP/ICMP traffic
Other IP traffic
Router operation (start up, get time, administrator login, logout info etc.)
Connections to the Web-based interface of this Router
Other connections and traffic to this Router

You can turn off "all websites visited to hide your surfing activity. You can delete and reset the logs here too. Different brands have different features.

Check and see if you are the only one surfing on it :
Attached Devices

PCs and Devices currently on the Network
# Device Name IP Address MAC Address
1 192.168.0.4 ANALYST-8365FF2 00:90:4b:f1:f9:75

<thats me>

Also look for "send Email" and quickly disable (delete logs after this) because logs will be sent to the owner's email, and you will be on it.
Learn to change your mac cuz thats how they'll track and find you.
